A small zoo with lots of shade and many animals in a nice natural settings. Has train rides as well as a petting zoo. Shaded picnic area in front of zoo with lots of trees and grass for energetic toddlers. Admission is $6/adult, $3 ages 3-12, seniors $3, under 3 is free. Train rides are $3 each and run from 11am-2pm. Several membership packages are available. Winter hours are 10-4. Visit their website for more info: www.santaanazoo.org
Directions: 5 FWY to Fourth/First Street and take the ramp to First Street. Go straight onto Mabury St (becomes S Elk Lane). Turn left onto E Chestnut Ave. Zoo will be immediately on your left. Meet just inside the entrance by the gift shop.
