Support Group for Mothers of Children with Special Needs

When a child is diagnosed with a disability, the entire family is changed and must adapt.  Sometimes, with multiples it may be one or more of the children.  Please join us if you are interested in meeting women facing similar challenges that are unique to having multiples (but may be different to the challenges of parenting “typically developing” children).  Besides offering parent-to-parent support and understanding, we discuss recommendations for IEP strategies, community workshops and other relevant topics.
 
This group is run by parents for parents.

As always, Dr. Nancy McGovern has been invited to our meeting. Dr. Nancy McGovern works both for the Orange County Health Care Agency and as consultant to the Orange County Regional Center where she facilitates various parent meetings throughout the county.  She is also a parent to adult B/G twins and a singleton son, which provides a unique support perspective to our families.
