TRANSITIONING BABY TO SOLID FOODS CLASS
WEDNESDAY - MARCH 14 AT 7:00 PM
WEDNESDAY - MARCH 14 AT 7:00 PM
We will be offering a class of instruction for moms and dads titled "Transitioning Baby to Solid Foods". Occupational Therapist and Feeding Specialist, Susie Rudzik, M.A., OTR/L will be teaching this important informative class with the following issues covered:
- When to start introducing solid foods (approximately 5-6 months)
- Techniques of "how to" and "how much" to feed
- Starting from the beginning with rice cereal through finger and table foods.
- Critical need for consistency and continuity no matter who feeds the baby.
- Techniques used in feeding multiples.
- Examples of correct utensils, cups etc best for beginning feeders.
This professional instruction will be given free to our club members. Susie will give written handouts explaining the "general guidelines" in feeding. This way you and your pediatrician can adapt any changes as needed due to prematurity, reflux or other complications. Feel free to come if not just to make sure you are doing things right and learn about helpful tips. If you would be interested in this type of instruction class, please RSVP to Jamie at
