The Helping Hands project is a philanthropic effort of SMOMC to provide support for local families with multiples. Twice a year, the members of SMOMC donate new clothing, toys, and essential goods for 6 families with demonstrated need such as financial distress, the passing of a parent, or severe medical issues. At the October general meeting, SMOMC members will be asked to commit to purchasing the needed items. The VP's for the Helping Hands project will provide cards that include specific details about the needs of each family. Examples: “Samantha, age 4, would like a winter outfit in size 5T” or “Family B would like a $10 gift card to Ralphs.” You will take your card(s) and purchase your items. Bring your unwrapped gifts and gift receipts to the November general meeting, and all gifts will be delivered to our six families in time for the December holidays. Thank you in advance for anything you are able to do to support this project. In some cases, the gifts our club members purchase will be the only gifts these children receive this holiday season!
